The Unix/Linux command line: Basics, Scripting, and Development Tools

Abstract

Getting started with the Unix and Linux command line can be daunting task. In these three workshops, we will cover using different parts of Unix starting from the basic commands needed to manage a system. Then we will be putting those commands together to write shell scripts. And finally, we will look at how Unix tools can help you debug and speed up your development process.

Biography

Zaki Mughal is a master's student in computer science working in the field of biomedical image analysis. He did his B.S. in biomedical engineering (neuroengineering) from UH. He is interested in medical applications of computational science.
