With the ability to easily add new pages as in #177, we should document the process for scheduling, running, and reporting on a community call. Feedback from lower comments we'll be collected into the draft below for migration to a markdown page.

Before the meeting

  • identify a day and multiple timezone slots for the call with key participants
  • advertise the call on image.sc using the @ngff group handle to contact the wider community
  • remind the community 1 month, 1 week, and 1 day before the meeting on image.sc, twitter, mastodon, etc.

During the meeting

  • record the meeting
  • open a hackmd file for recording notes
  • encourage short introductions if possible with the intended goal of having everyone feel comfortable speaking

After the meeting

  • mark the hackmd read-only (image 1)
  • download the recordings from zoom and make them accessible
  • summarize the salient meeting points and post on image.sc
  • record the video links, etc. on the main ngff page
