It looks like it is all working fine now. When I started up I needed to reset everything: all my preferences and where the notes are stored. Once I did that all else was fine ... but a bit confusing at first.
Do you remember something that didn't work before resetting everything? Maybe this will give me an idea of where to look. I still want to investigate a little so other users don't experience the same thing.
My only guess at this point is it had something to do with iCloud. All my Nota notes are in a folder in iCloud. I'm also currently on vacation in a location with slow internet. It seems when Sonoma was installed that many/most/all iCloud items were also impacted ... either they had to upload (or download) from iCloud all over again. The Nota folder I use is small in size but may have been impacted by this process.

Nota is acting "funky" in all sorts of ways on Sonoma, the official release. Nothing quite seems to work correctly.
Is there a Sonoma upgrade coming soon?
