Hey. I started investigating this. In the meantime, what happens if you delete ~/Library/Application Support/Nota? Do you see the Welcome screen? If yes, can you try to open a workspace with just 1 .md file in it so we can rule out something specific in the workspace itself?
Hey. I did delete that on the reinstall, after a few minutes some workspaces work fine, however larger ones seem to cause the app to become nonresponsive. Force quitting or reloading the app works but the nota-breaking workspaces are still unaccessible.
I think it might be circular symlinks. We have very few errors in error reporting and one seems related and it's about symlinks. I replicated a problem where Nota has problem with circular symlinks and I fixed it. The next release will include the fix and let's hope this is the reason.
If it's important for you to use those workspaces, you can investigate yourself. See if you can remove symlinks and see if the problem goes away. This will also help me be sure about my hypothesis.

Refuses to work at all. I have reinstalled completely and it simply throws the "reload or reset state" popup, which has no effect.
