In vanilla, when a pawn is nuzzled, he might form a bond with the animal. Sometimes, the pawn's handling skill is not high enough for that animal, thus he won't be the master.
I think of Lassie, who bonded with a small child which would be eaten by any other animal apart from Lassie. AO could allow those pawns to become the master ignoring the handling skills.

Alas, as I'm not able to do C#, I will not be able to implement most, but I will give some serious thought on the offspring re-adjustment you proposed.
