Statute on projection

NM output is using ESPG:5072 at the moment which is a USA projection. We have been talking about using LAEA. The object provided within the package use that projection for now, but I don't know if it would make more sense to use a projected CS which allow to run distance stats such as distance to nearest or sum within buffer using a metric.
